Statistics-Crop--Groundnut-1949-Summer and early crops-Condition Report:Sewings of the Summer crop of groundnut are reported to be below normal in the districts of Chingleput,Chittoor and North Arcot due mainly to the failure of rains.The area sown with Summer Crop in the other districts is reported to be normal.Sowings of the early crops are in progress in the districts of Salem and Coimbatore and the area is reported to be normal in both the districts.
