Phenotypic and genotypic variability in cosunut palm was studied in a collec-tion of 25 varieties and two liybrids. A wide range of phenotypic variation was observed in the varieties. Among the characters, number of leaves per year, number of leaves on the crown. number of spathes per year. sumher of female fleworo par palm. setting percentage and number of nuts were found te have high genetic advance, and these charactors may be considered reliable for excercising selection,
