Abstract

Correlation coefficients and path coefficlents analysis were computed in cotton (Gossyplum hirsutum L.) grown under intercropping system. The results indicated that the number of picked bolis per plant was the main yield contributing trait in cotton followed by boll welght and lint index. The results are thus, indicative that an improvement in yield potential may be brought sbeut by making seleotion on the number of picked bolls per plant.
