Abstract

Pot and field trials were conducted to study the influence of various factors on regenerating capacity of the stem cuttings of Solanum elaeagnnifolium.Stem cuttings older than 60days.The larger the size of the cuttings (upto 10cm)the earlier the regeneration.Stem cuttings of 10cm length placed at depths greater than 45cm did not regrow.in another experment the regenerating capacity almost of the stem cuttings was completely reduced when the loss of moisture was almost equal to its total moisture holding capacity.
