A study was made with the object of finding out the object of finding out the nature of distribution of different farms of K in the two major soil series of Coimbatore district.TamilNadu.Two profilse in soil series viz.,Irugur(red non-calcareous)and Palathurai(red calcareous)were studied for water soluble.exchangeable non-exchangeable and total K.The study revealed that in general.water soluble and exchangable K.content dicreased with increase in depth of soil series and both were fund to increase with depth in the profilse studied.
