Abstract


Groundnut is affected ny many soil borne diseases.Sclerotial root rot caused by Scierotium rolfsii Sacc.was reported for the first time by Singh and Mathur(193)in UttarPrades.It causes great damage to the cop by caising a high mortuality.It was aso observed that a few varieties of groundnut were affected severely.As such an attemt was made to test a few popular varieties and cultures for resistance for thre disease.
