In this study HB 3Bajra(Pannisetum typhoides Stepf & Hubb)was subjected to different pre-sowing tretments namely. -hardening(Water).CCC.ethrel.kinetin and resistine.The seedlings were raised in germination trays and the study was confiinued to 30 days.The pre-treatments improved the water retaining capacity of plants in discuusion test among which CCC was effective.The treatments reduced the transpiration rates.During the stages of seedling growth CCC increased the diffusion pressure pressure deficit of cells.
