Summary.Local thunderstorms have occurred during the middle of the month causing heavy showers on the north Madras coast and in the later part of the month in the hill stations.A few showers have also been recorded in the Ceded districts and south Madras.The rainfall has been recorded in the normal in the Circars,above normal in the Ceded districts,normal in the south.below normal elsewhere in the Peninsula.The chief amounts recorded are 5.3'at Gopalpore on the 14th and 2.7"at Vizagapatam on the 15th.
