Under the auspices of the Madras Agricultural Students Union,a meeting was held on Monday the 16th December.when Mr.K.Ramaiah.who had recently been ona tour to Burma.spoke on "Agriculture in Burma'.Mr.R.C.Broadfoot,President of the Union.who preside o the occasion.referred in he course of his introductory remarks.to the impending separation of Burma rom India and observed that from its importance as a producer of rice.timber oils nd minerals.this separation would result in Burma having a commentable says in the future trade of the East.
