Since the note on the above subject was published in the 1922 volume of this Journal part V of the Madras Flora appeared in 1923.part Viin 1924 and part VII soon after the death of the author last year.It may be estimated that a third of the Flora still remains to be written and the work. we understand, has been entrusted to Mr.C.E.C.Fischer a retired-Conservator of Forests of Madras and sometime Principal of the Forest College at Coimbatore who has made notable contributions in Systamatic Botany.
